History
RevenueMed is led by a team of deeply experienced healthcare executives who are passionate about bringing process efficiency to the US healthcare market. We have created capabilities to serve all styles of healthcare provider, from hospitals to physician groups to more specialized players like disease management companies, pharma administration companies or home health operators.
The company was originally launched in 2002, with headquarters in Norcross, Georgia (metro Atlanta). After a full year of significant investment in process design, the company launched its first services for remote, out-sourced medical coding. The chronology since that time has been impressive:
- 2003: First medical coders credentialed in India by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
- 2004: Diversified medical coding specialities across a broad range of hospital outpatient and physician chart types. Opened 10,000 square foot data processing center in Kerala, India.
- 2005: Launched initial services for healthcare remittance processing.
- 2006: Began to offer wholesale services to augment the Business Office functions for hospitals and physician groups. Developed deep competency in charge entry and payment posting. Created RevTrain™ – a Web-based tool for educating coders and other revenue cycle specialties.
- 2007: Built the first Inpatient competencies in India. First medical coders credentialed in India by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Launched RevFlow™, a market-leading tool for managing compliance in medical coding operations. Substantial growth in staffing the client numbers.
- 2008: Development of RevRemit™, a software application to help convert paper EOBs to ANSI 835 transactions. Development of RevClaim™, a software application to help convert paper medical and dental claims into ANSI 837 transactions. Opened second data processing facility, in Tamil Nadu, India. Appeared on Inc. 5,000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
- 2009: Launch of RevAudit™ services to provide high quality and cost-effective auditing of medical claims. This service combines deeply experienced, credentialed coding auditors with our firm's proprietary auditing and reporting software.
